Why Indianapolis?

Inspiring the Next Generation

Indianapolis is a growing community recognized for the food, sports and attractions it offers. In 2021, TIME Magazine named Indianapolis one of the “World’s Greatest Places.” It’s also recognized for being on the cutting edge of education transformation. Indianapolis Teaching Fellows plays an important role in this effort through our partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools and Township Charter Schools in Center Township. With more than 45 district and charter school partners in greater Indianapolis, Fellows have the unique flexibility to find a school that fits their skills, and interests and where they can contribute to ensuring all students have an excellent education.

Since 2007, Indianapolis Teaching Fellows has provided aspiring teachers from diverse backgrounds with an affordable and accelerated pathway into the classroom. You may have built a successful career, and now wish to use those skills to impact our next generation. You could be an accomplished recent graduate who wants to share your passion for learning with Indiana’s students. Whatever your background, you have high expectations for all students and are deeply invested in ensuring all students have access to an equitable education.  With Indianapolis Teaching Fellows, you’ll receive the training and coaching you need to help your students succeed while attending Marian University to earn your certification and master’s degree.
